Here is how to clean your diamond engagement ring at home:
Soap & Very Warm Water:
These are a few items you need to make a diamond ring cleaner successfully:
- 2 plastic containers
- Mild Dish washing Liquid
- 1 soft bristle toothbrush
- Very Warm (almost hot) Water
The first thing you will want to do is take one of the plastic containers and make a solution of warm water and the dishwashing liquid. Fill the second plastic container with cool water that will you use later.
Next, put the ring in the bowl with the warm water and dish soap solution and leave it be for the next 20-30 minutes depending on how dirty it is. After that, you will need the soft bristle toothbrush. You don’t want to use a hard-bristled toothbrush or you could potentially scratch the ring, so use caution. Now, take the ring out of the warm water and gently scrub away any dirt or grime you see. Be mindful to use the bristles to get into the crevices of your diamond ring as well.
Finally, soak your engagement ring in the cool water in the other plastic container and let it sit on a paper towel until it is completely dry. If you still see dirty spots and blemishes on the ring when you are done, repeat the process until your ring is nice and clean.
